Kerala govt signs pact with Air India to bring bodies of expats from Gulf for free
Thiruvananthapuram: In a relief to the family of expatriates, the Kerala government has signed a pact with Air India to bring the bodies of Indians who breathe their last in Gulf soil, home free of cost. The agreement was signed by Non-Resident Keralite Affairs (NORKA) Roots chief executive officer and Air India executive director cargo.
The decision for this collaboration was taken to bring solace to those who face great difficulty to bring bodies of Indians who die in Gulf countries.
The bodies brought to India will be taken to respective houses in emergency ambulances of NORKA Roots, free of cost.
The families/friends of those expats who die in Gulf countries can apply for this facility. The application form and details are available at official website of NORKA Roots www.norkaroots.org, said chief executive officer.
