Kuwait City: The Kuwait government has decided to terminate the services of expatriate employees in the Ministry of Public Works.
In a move to reduce the number of foreign workers and give more opportunities to locals, 80 employees including consultants, accountants and engineers are being ousted from the Ministry of Public Works.
The ministry’s undersecretary Esmail Al Felakawi has issued the decision to end their service as of March 2021.
Apart from consultants, accountants and engineers, special contract employees are also included in those slated to be dismissed.
A notice indicating termination of service has been served. Also, their details have been handed over to the Civil Service Commission for further procedures.
