Indian schools in Doha resume studies in virtual classrooms
Doha: Indian schools in Doha are moving ahead with virtual classes putting to rest all anxieties. Virtual classes have been started as all the schools have been closed owing to Coronavirus scare.
A total of 40,000 students are involved in virtual learning from over 18 Indian schools in Doha. The classes started from April 15 and Microsoft teams, zoom apps are used for the classes. Apart from this, recorded videos and online notes are also given to the students.
Other than the fact that students do not have to come to the class, all activities that takes place in school happens in the virtual class as well, as per school authorities. A specific syllabus has been prepared for these virtual classes. Classes usually take place up to four hours.
The only problem with the system is that since most classes take place at the same time, parents with more than one child will have to arrange for more computer systems. However, Hemanth Tiwari, who is in charge for education in the embassy said that parents themselves took the initiative to find a solution to this.
Apart from the regular syllabus, music, dance and physical education classes also take place in the virtual class rooms.
