Dubai: It has been noted that the visa fee exemption for children aged below 18 years has attracted more families to United Arab Emirates (UAE). The children who visit UAE with their parents from July 15 to September 15 are allotted free visa. Many families and tourists from India and other countries are flocking to the country accepting the visa fee waiver in summer.
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs under the UAE Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) has arranged facility to know more details of the visa fee exemption for children, said Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, the director general of the GDRFA.
The major criteria for visa fee exemption is that one of the parent should be present with the children. The type of visa of the parent is not considered for allowing the fee exemption.
