Expired UAE resident visa, Emirates ID holders to face fine from today
Dubai: UAE residents, whose visas expired between March 1 and July 11, will be fined from today after the deadline to renew the visa or exit the country ended on October 11.
After the deadline, overstay fines will apply to stay in the country or to return to native place.
On the first day, 125 dirhams will be collected as fine and Overstay will be fined Dh125 on the first day and Dh25 per day from the second day onwards. Also, Dh250 will have to be paid while leaving the country.
For those with expired Emirates ID, Dh20 will be fined daily.
Meanwhile, those who have been staying outside UAE for more than 6 months would be able to return, informed Dubai immigration. Their resident visas will have to be valid.
