Dubai: A Non Residential Keralite based in Abu Dhabi has won the Dubai Duty Free raffle. Ernakulam native Sooraj Aneed (35) who works in Abh Dhabi has won 1 million US Dollars (Rs 7 crore) as prize money in the draw. Sooraj bought the ticket via online on January 20.
Sooraj turned the lucky winner through the ticket number 4645 of the 350th series. He came to know about being selected as the winner through Facebook live. He said that he was not able to believe it when the winner was declared. Sooraj is the 175th Indian to win Dubai Duty Free draw. He has been living in UAE for the past 5 years.
Sooraj, who works in the customer care department of a bank, is living in Abu Dhabi with his wife and daughter.
Meanwhile, Indians have won all the draws of Duty Free Big Ticket raffle. Taslina Puthiyapurayil won the first prize of 15 million Dirhams (Rs 30 crores). Prem Mohan and Ali Askar won the second and third prizes respectively.
