Don’t be cheated by claims about chartered flights, warns Indian consulate in Dubai
Dubai: The Indian consulate in Dubai warned Indians not to be cheated by news about chartered flights to India.
A press release from the consulate stated that certain travel agencies and individuals are trying to extract money from passengers through claims about chartered flights.
Certain travel agencies have tried to convince passengers that they would take them to India in chartered flights and that the passengers would need to pay a sum of money in advance. They are also asking for payment for the quarantine facilities that will be arranged in the country.
India has not approved the use of chartered flights to evacuate Indians, although the discussion in this regard is ongoing.
The Indian consulate said that it would inform them about the matter as soon as the government grants permission for chartered flights and warned NRIs not to be cheated by such false claims.
