COVID-19: Abu Dhabi begins survey on foreign citizens above 50 yrs for repatriation
Abu Dhabi: Firms in Abu Dhabi have started a survey to identify employees from other countries who are above 50 years and who wish to return to motherland amid coronavirus outbreak. The survey is being carried out under Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development.
It is reported that once the survey is completed, arrangements, including flight ticket, will be made available for the expatriates as per the labour rights in UAE.
As part of the survey, companies have to upload the details of the workers over 50 years who wish to return to their country in the official website which carries the address as survey.ded.abudhabi.ae.
In the first page of the survey registration, all details of the workers nominated for repatriation must be filled up.
Following this step, the company’s license number, name and contact number of the person in charge must be given.
UAE has taken action to repatriate aged, sick people, pregnant women and children to return to their home country as part of the coronavirus preventive measures. The survey was initiated as part of these measures.
