Coronavirus: People travelling to Kuwait should produce medical certificate
Kuwait City: Kuwait is planning to make mandatory a medical certificate for air passengers from 10 countries, including India, to ensure they are not affected with coronavirus. In a circular issued by the Civil Aviation Department, it is directed that the medical certificate should also be attested by the Kuwait Embassy in India.
The new rule will come into force from March 8 onwards. Besides India, the rule is applicable for Turkey, Egypt, Philippines, Bangladesh, Syria, Azerbaijan, Sri Lanka, Georgia and Lebanon also.
The circular also stated that the passengers who arrive without a medical certificate will be deported to their respective countries. The notice of the Deputy Director General of Kuwait International Airport in this regard was sent to all travel agencies.
