Consensus discussions fail, cheque bounce case against Thushar in court today
Dubai: Discussions held in connection with the cheque bounce case against BDJS leader Thushar Vellappally failed to reach a consensus. Complainant Nazil Abdullah said that no haste decision can be taken on conditions put forward by Thushar. Some advices are to be sought and a final decision will be taken after that, Nazil said.
Meanwhile, Ajman court will consider the case on Monday. However, Thushar is trying for an out-of-court settlement before this.
In the previous two days, close aids of Thushar and Nazil had held discussions in this regard. They discussed on the amount of money demanded by Nazil. However, Nazil is of the opinion that the offers put forward by Thushar is inadequate.
The cheque dishonour case was filed in the UAE by a Keralite Nazil Abdullah, with whom Thushar Vellapally had a sub-contracting agreement a decade ago. The company was later wound up. Nazil has claimed that Thushar Vellapally owed money to his creditors, and the cheques that he gave to his creditors bounced.
