Centre implements Visa on Arrival for UAE nationals


As of now, passengers arriving at New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai airports will be given visa on arrival

Abu Dhabi: Indian Embassy has declared that UAE citizens can now avail Visa on Arrival in India. The central government had announced earlier that such a provision will be made available for UAE nationals. This is being implemented in an effort to consolidate India- UAE ties.

UAE nationals arriving in India will be given visa for 60 days. As of now, passengers arriving at New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai airports will be given visa on arrival. But it will be made available in all airports in the country soon. UAE nationals will have to apply for a visa online before departing from UAE. Only such applicants will be granted visa on arrival.

Thousands of UAE nationals visit India every year. Most of them arrive for business meetings, medical treatments and vacations. Indian Ambassador to UAE opined the new service is an example of India-UAE ties growing stronger.
