Dr Azad Moopen with union minister Mansukh Mandaviya
Dubai: Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare, met Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya. Both discussed about steps to be taken for strengthening the health sector of the country.
They also talked about the possibilities of providing financial support for treatment of the financially backward NRIs who are affected by critical illness after returning to India.
Dr. Azad Moopen also requested the union minister, through a memorandum, to include NRIs in Ayushman Bharath scheme and to approve a contributory insurance scheme for the NRIs who return to India.
Aster DM Healthcare Deputy MD Alisha Moopen and Indian Consul General Dr Aman Puri also attended the meeting.
