Kottayam: The UK police informed parents of Malayali nurse Anju Ashok (35) that their daughter was murdered. They also said that husband Saju, who is in custody, will be charged with murder.
Vaikom native Anju and her two children Jeeva Saju, 6, and Janvi Saju, 4 were murdered on Friday at their home in the Northampton region of eastern England. While Anju was found dead by police at their home, the children succumbed at hospital.
Police, with the help of a translator, informed the family that Anju was choked to death using a shawl or a rope. Anju also suffered injuries on her body, according to the post mortem report.

The post mortems of Jeeva and Janvi will be conducted on Saturday.
It is learnt that around Rs 30 lakh would be required to bring the mortal remains back to Kerala. The family has decided to seek the help of the state government.
