9 repatriation flights from Gulf countries to land in Kerala today
Dubai: Repatriating the expats stranded abroad amid COVID-19 outbreak, 9 flights will take off from Gulf Countries to Kerala under the Vande Bharat mission on Thursday. Over 1500 expats will fly to Kerala in these flights.
Among the 9 flights, five will take off from UAE. More than 800 expats will land in Kerala by these flights.
On Thursday, flights from Dubai will be operated to all routes in Kerala. A flight from Abu Dhabi to Kochi will be operated on Thursday.
Dubai-Kochi flight IX 1434 will depart at 11.50 am and Dubai-Kannur IX 1746 will take off at 12.50 pm. At the same time, Dubai-Kozhikode IX 1344 and Dubai-Thiruvananthapuram IX 1540 will take off at 3.20 pm and 5.20 pm respectively. The flight from Abu Dhabi to Kochi IX 1452 will depart at 1.50 pm.
Flights from Kuwait, Muscat, Bahrain and Salalah will also take expats to Kerala. Kuwait-Thiruvananthapuram IX 1596 will take off at 11.20 am and Muscat-Kozhikode IX 1350 will leave at 2.00 pm. Bahrain-Kochi IX 1474 and Salalah-Kannur IX 1342 will take off at 2.10 pm and 3.10 pm respectively.
Air India will operate flight service on Dubai-Hyderabad-Mumbai route. Air India Express IX 1248 will take off from Dubai to Hyderabad at 1.50 pm.
The scheduled departure time of flights will vary according to the arrangements at the airports amid the pandemic outbreak.
COVID-19 rapid test and thermal scanning will be carried out at Dubai and Abu Dhabi international airports. Hence, all passengers are requested to report at the airports at least 4 hours before their flight’s departure.
Pregnant women past their 27th week must produce a Fit to Fly certificate issued within 72 hours of travel. Officials from Indian Consulate and Embassy will give guidelines to the passengers at each airport.
