Kuwait city: 68,000 foreigners over the age of 60 are employed in both the public and private sectors in Kuwait. The government recently took a favourable decision to renew the residency of foreigners who have completed 60 years of age. As part of this, the Kuwait government revealed the number of foreigners who have crossed 60 years and presently staying in the country.
According to statistics, Kuwait has 68,000 foreigners over the age of 60 employed in the public and private sectors. Of these, 27,600 are over 65 years of age. There are 5,040 foreigners working in the government sector, including men and women over the age of 60. Of these, 3,643 are between the ages of 60 and 64 and 1,397 are over the age of 65.
Meanwhile, the private sector employs 63,000 foreigners, including women and men over the age of 60. Of these, 36,700 are between the ages of 60 and 64 and 26,200 are over the age of 65.
