Dubai: Six Keralites, including a nurse, succumbed to COVID-19 in Gulf region on Sunday. The six victims were from UAE and Kuwait. The total of number of Keralites who passed away in Gulf countries due to COVID-19 has touched 109.
The nurse who passed away, Annamma Chacko (59), was a Mavelikkara native and she worked in Kuwait. She tested positive for the virus three days back. She was undergoing treatment in Kuwait Mubarak Al Kabeer hospital. Malappuram native Badarul Muneer (39) and Kozhikode native Sadiqq also died in Dubai.
Three Keralites passed away in Abu Dhabi as well. Kannur native Anil Kumar, who worked as a teacher in Abu Dhabi Sunrise school, passed away along with Thrissur natives Gina Chandran and Firoz Khan. Gina Chandran, a reputed businessman in UAE, was undergoing treatment for the last two weeks.
