2 Kerala nurses killed in Saudi road accident
Taif: Two Kerala nurses were killed after a minibus met with a road accident near Taif in Saudi Arabia. The deceased are identified as Vaikom Vanchiyoor native Akhila (29) and Kollam native Subi (33).
The minibus in which the duo was travelling met with the accident on the way to Jeddah from Riyadh.
According to reports, the minibus slipped off the road and plunged into a deep area leaving the two women dead.
It is learned that the two nurses were on the way to their accommodation place in Jeddah after completing their quarantine in Riyadh.
Two other nurses Ancy and Priyanka from Kerala suffered injuries in the accident. They are currently undergoing treatment at King Faisal hospital in Taif.
The accident took place around 4.30 am on Sunday. It is assumed that the driver may have fallen asleep behind the wheels.
