Kottayam: Milma (Kerala Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation) set a record in sales of milk on the previous day of Vishu. Also Milma set another record in procuring milk from other states on the same day.

On April 13, Milma sold 22.52 lakh litres of milk and procured 13.91 lakh litres of milk. The additional 8.61 lakh litre was bought from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu Federations.

More quantity of milk was sold in Malabar region. 11 lakh litres of milk was sold there and 4 lakh litres was brought from outside, said Milma chairman P A Balan.
