An Ayurveda biotech startup led by Malayali entrepreneur Abhishek Mohan received a central government grant from Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC).
His startup hempstreet.in developed painkillers including relief from pain during menstrual period. They developed the medicine and distributed it to doctors globally. They are planning to provide 10,000 clinics with the medicine this year itself.
He is from the younger generation of Kandampully Krishnan Vaidyar of Thrissur.
Abhisek completed his MBA from the Asian College of Management, Manila. After working in some companies abroad, he started the company in 2019.
