Gold price falls by Rs 1,280 within 2 days, touches Rs 36,720 per sovereign

Gold price declined by Rs 1,280 within two days in the state. On Monday, the gold touched Rs 36,720 per sovereign after falling by Rs 320. Gold price per gram also declined by Rs 40 and touched Rs 4590.

Meanwhile, gold price continued to witness a sharp decline in the global market also.

In the global market, gold was trading lower at USD 1,836.30 per ounce. The price has fallen by 3.4 percent on Friday.

The gold price fell sharply following the rise in the dollar index and jump in the US bond yields.

On MCX, gold futures price touched Rs 48,760 per 10 gram after recording a fall of Rs 2,350 within two days.
