Kochi: For the second consecutive day, the price of fuel increased in the state. Petrol price increased by 30 paise while diesel price increased by 32 paise. One litre of petrol costs Rs 87.11 in Kochi and 88.83 in Thiruvananthapuram while diesel costs Rs Rs 81.35/litre and Rs 82.96 respectively.
Since 2021, petrol price increased by Rs 2.96 and diesel by Rs 3.13. The cost of Compressed Natural Gas also increased by Rs 2 as on February 1 and is priced at Rs 59.50 per kilogram.
The price of LPG cylinders for domestic use also increased by Rs 25 as on Thursday. With this, the cost of one LPG cylinder of 14.5 kg is Rs 726 here. The subsidy system on LPG was completely stopped recently. The price of LPG cylinder of 19 kg for commercial use was increased by Rs 191 and later decreased by Rs 6. Now it costs Rs 1522.50.
