Kochi: Popular NRI businessman and chairman of Lulu Group MA Yusuff Ali has purchased a most modern luxury helicopter worth Rs 100 crore. Yusuff Ali flew to Kochi on his new helicopter Airbus H 145 on Wednesday.
The helicopter manufactured by Airbus can accommodate 7 people, including two pilots, at a time. It can take off up to 20,000 feet above sea level and fly at a speed of 246 kilometres per hour. Yusuff Ali’s luxury helicopter also carries the logo of Lulu Group and the first letter of his name.
Ravi Pillai, chairman of RP Group, is the first Indian to purchase the Air Bus H 145 in March 2022.
In 2021, Yusuff Ali and his wife had a narrow escape from a helicopter accident in Kochi. Italian manufacturer AgustaWestland’s 109SP was the helicopter which met with the accident. Recently, he made headlines by inviting a global tender for selling the chopper which costs around Rs 50 crore.
