Pathanamthitta: A theft case has been reported at Kodumon police station in Pathanamthitta. An accused, who was arrested in connection with another case, has allegedly robbed an E-POS machine worth Rs 20,000 from the station.

Though police nabbed the accused Adoor native Eby John (28) later, the E-POS machine could not be recovered. The E-POS machine was robbed on January 27.

Eby was initially arrested for creating a ruckus at a public place in an inebriated condition. Police informed that he later left the station with the E-POS machine by deceiving the cops.

According to Eby’s statement, he had thrown off the E-POS machine after leaving the station. Police conducted a search in the spot shown by the accused. However, only a few papers which were inside the E-POS machine could be found from here.
