Youth stabs woman, slits own throat inside KSRTC Swift bus

Tirurangadi: A tragic incident happened on Thursday around 11 pm on a KSRTC Swift bus heading from Munnar to Bengaluru. A young man, identified as Sanil (25), reportedly stabbed a woman, Seetha, and then slit his own throat.

Seetha, who works as a home nurse and was severely injured on her chest, along with Sanil were immediately taken to the Government Medical College in Kozhikode. The bus was halted by the KSRTC staff when the incident occurred in Venniyoor, Malappuram. Both the victims were initially taken to MKH Hospital in Tirurangadi, and later Sanil was shifted to the Kozhikode Medical College along with Seetha as their conditions worsened.

According to reports, Seetha had boarded the bus from Angamaly, and Sanil had boarded from Malappuram. The attack happened after the bus resumed journey following a dinner break. Sanil used a knife to stab Seetha on her chest and then slit his own throat with the same weapon. The motive behind the attack is still unknown.
