Youth’s unique protest by bathing, washing clothes in water filled pothole grabs attention

Pandikkad: A youth staged an unusual protest on a road in which potholes resurfaced and filled with water following rains. Odombatta native Hamsa Porley marked his protest by bathing and washing clothes in the water-filled potholes.

He took his protest to the next level after he blocked Adv UA Latheef MLA's car by sitting in the pothole and later by standing on a leg, in a hermit’s stance. MLA informed him that the procedures to solve the deplorable conditions of the roads are proceeding.

No actions were taken yet to resolve the piteous condition of Manjeri road, which leads to Pandikkad town. The locals had raised several protests but to no avail. However, his unique way of protest grabbed public attention. His friends Asar Muhammad, Naseem Odombatta, Shinoj Pariyarath, and Farhan Kuttipulli supported him in this mission.
