Youth in home-quarantine dies in Attappadi

A seven-member group including Karthik reached the village in Attappadi on April 29 by walking through the forest from Coimbatore.

Agali (Palakkad): A man who was under quarantine at his house died in Attappadi here. The deceased was identified as Sholayar Varakampadi native Karthik (23). He reached his village from Coimbatore by walk through the forest paths on April 29.

A seven-member group including Karthik reached the village in Attappadi through the forest from Coimbatore. After reaching home, Karthik went to hospital for check-up and remained in home-quarantine. Later, he was admitted in Kottathara tribal hospital on Thursday due to fever and vomiting.

But his condition worsened and he died while being taken to EMS Hospital in Perinthalmanna. Though Karthik was not tested positive for coronavirus, there are reports that his father and some others are quarantined. It is learnt that Karthik's samples have been sent for tests.
