Youth found injured near temple premises dies in Kozhikode hospital, family allege mob lynching

Kolathur (Kozhikode): A youth who was found injured near a temple at Kolathur in Kozhikode, died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital. The deceased has been identified as Bineesh (42), a native of Eramangalam, Kolathur. He was admitted to the hospital on March 25.

As per reports, a verbal spat took place between Bineesh and the locals amid a temple festival in the area. He was found lying on the ground the next day. Following which, he was rushed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the Kakoor police registered a case of mob lynching in connection with the incident, upon the complaint of the deceased’s family. According to the family, there were bruises on his body.

The body has been shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital for post mortem.
