Nadapuram: The police have intensified probe into the mysterious death of Kasaragod native Sreejith (38) in a car accident near Narikkatteri, Kozhikode. An investigation is underway to nab another person who was inside the car at the time of the incident.

According to the police, the latter is on the run and truth can be found only if he is nabbed. The police are currently in possession of the details of three suspects, outside the district.

Sreejith was found dead inside his car on Saturday around 9.15 pm. The car had hit an electric pole and had a flat tyre.

According to some locals, a person was seen fleeing the place soon after the accident.

The post mortem report has found the presence of liquor inside Sreejith’s stomach and a serious injury to his spinal cord. The police had also received information about the youth having relations with a woman, whom he befriended via Instagram.

The investigation is being carried out by a special police team led by Nadapuram inspector EV Faiz Ali.
