Kochi: A youth has filed a plea in the high court against OTT platform Yessma for allegedly making him act in a pornographic series. Reportedly, a plea has been filed against the OTT platform and the director of a web series.
In his complaint, the youth alleged that he was cheated and forced to act in a pornographic film for the OTT platform. He also sought a ban on the streaming of the web series.
“They promised me opportunities in movies and made me act in an obscene film. I had signed a contract without knowing that it was porn content. However, I tried to back off on realising the truth. But they threatened me with the contract and told me I will have to pay a huge sum as compensation,” said the youth in his complaint.
Initially, the youth had lodged a complaint with the chief minister and Thiruvananthapuram city police commissioner. Following this, he approached the high court.
