Edacheri: A 21-year-old youth, Muhammad Nihal, died in a road accident while trying to escape from the attack of a stray dog.
Nihal was walking through the pavement in Edacheri town on Sunday, when a stray dog tried to attack him. In order to escape, Nihal stepped on to the road without noticing the approaching car that hit him.
He was admitted to a private hospital in Kozhikode and was shifted to a ventilator by evening. But he succumbed to injuries on Monday.
Nihal was the Thalayi branch secretary of Youth League and son of Valiyaparambath Majeed and Sameera. Nidha Fathima, Naja Fathima and Naheel are siblings.
