Youth Congress suspends 2 vice presidents amid 'leaked' WhatsApp chat row

New Delhi: The national committee of Indian Youth Congress has taken action against two of its vice presidents amid the row over a leaked WhatsApp chat which ended up in the arrest of KS Sabarinadhan. The office-bearers of Kerala state youth congress committee NS Nusoor and SM Balu were suspended and removed from all responsibilities of the association, informed Youth Congress national secretary R Sravan Rao.

Sources close to Youth Congress hinted that only Nusoor faced action over the leaking WhatsApp chat. Balu was suspended over a sexual assault complaint raised at Chintan Shivir.

Youth Congress removed the duo from their posts for violating the code of conduct.

Seeking an inquiry into the leaked WhatsApp chat, Nusoor and Balu had signed a petition and submitted it to the Youth Congress president. Interestingly, Nusoor had taken the initiative to lodge the complaint. Youth Congress took action against him and Balu amid this.

Earlier, Balu had taken a dig at the party leadership over the sexual assault complaint raised at the Chintan Shivir.
