Youth Congress rally
Thrissur: A massive Youth Congress rally was conducted in Thrissur on Thursday as part of the state conference of the party. National president of Youth Congress BV Srinivas, and state president Shafi Parambil MLA led the rally which commenced from Sakthan Ground at 5.45 pm, with the accompaniment of musical instruments.
The rally reached the conference venue in Thekkinkadu ground at 7.30 pm via Kuruppam road and Swaraj Round.
Police controlled traffic for the rally where masses flocked beyond the expectations of the organisers. Congress leaders VD Satheesan and Ramesh Chennithala opined that it was the biggest rally organised in the history of Congress within a quarter of a century. Shafi Parambil received special praise for his organisational efficiency.
