Thiruvananthapuram: Youth Congress has filed a complaint with the vigilance against EP Jayarajan stating corruption at Anthoor municipality while giving permission for the resort. When EP Jayarajan was minister, he used his power and intervened in the matter, it stated.
Youth Congress state general secretary Jobin Jacob filed the complaint. A copy of the complaint has been sent to the additional chief secretary, local self government minister and the collector.
According to the complaint, the permission to construct the resort was given violating rules and regulations. The organisation has also demanded an investigation into the involvement of the municipality.
The complaint also states that the construction of the resort began without an environmental clearance. The opposition has said that MV Govindan’s wife PK Shyamala was the municipality chairperson when the permission was granted for the construction of resort. They are demanding an investigation into her involvement in the case as well.
