Palakkad: Youth Congress has dropped its plan to collect money through crowd funding and buy a car for Ramya Haridas MP. The Alathur parliament constituency committee of Youth Congress also decided to return Rs 6,13,000, which has been collected so far, to those who contributed.
Earlier, KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran had opposed the move to collect money through crowd funding and buy a car for the MP. Following this, Ramya Haridas took to Facebook and said she was following the directions of the KPCC chief.
Following her response, Mullappally Ramachandran appreciated Ramya Haridas and wrote on his Facebook page that all the Congress activists in Kerala would be proud to welcome her decision.
In this backdrop, Youth Congress decided to stop collecting money and return the collected amount to those who contributed.
