Angamaly: Youth Congress activists waved black flags at Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Angamaly on Saturday amid protest against fuel tax hike.

As per reports, around six activists jumped in front of the chief minister's vehicle and waved flags. They have been detained by the police.

Following the unexpected protests, the vehicle was trapped midway for around five minutes in the area.

The protests occurred while the chief minister was on his way to the High Court after attending the professional students’ summit in Angamaly.

The chief minister reportedly has five programmes scheduled for Saturday in Ernakulam.
