Kochi: A youth brought to Kalamassery Medical College hospital for treatment turned violent and attacked a doctor on Monday night.
Doyal, an Edapally native, was brought to the hospital with injuries suffered in an accident. However, he turned violent and attempted to manhandle the doctor and health professionals. Later, the hospital authorities notified the police, who took him into custody and recorded his arrest. Police officials revealed that the accused was in an inebriated condition. He would be produced before the court on Tuesday.
The incident happened days after a young doctor was stabbed to death by a patient at Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital.
