Anakkara: Police arrested a man who stuck abusive and defamatory posters about a woman on public walls. The accused is Kumaranellur native TS Sreejin (28).
On March 31, posters with defamatory and offensive images, writings and phone numbers appeared on the walls of shops from Anakkara to Vattamkulam.
Following it, the woman and her relatives complained to the Ponnani police. The police removed the posters and quizzed a youth nearby. He hinted that a man on a red scooter stuck the posters. He also gave hints about the vehicle number.
The man confessed that the woman warned him of action for taking part in anti-social activities and hence tried to defame her. He made the posters on his phone. The court remanded him.
