Kozhikode: Congress parliamentary secretary and Kozhikode MP MK Raghavan filed a complaint with the party’s national leadership over Youth Congress’ decision to withdraw from an event attended by Shashi Tharoor.

Raghavan in his complaint has demanded a probe into the Kozhikode Youth Congress district committee's decision to back off from a seminar for which it had invited Tharoor.

The move was expected as Raghavan earlier pointed out that he would file a complaint with Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, the AICC president, and the KPCC president over the matter.

The probe should shed light on why the seminar titled 'Sangh Parivar and the challenges faced by Indian secularism' was dropped and who are behind such a decision, the complaint read.

Raghavan while commenting on the development pointed out that he has no prejudice and only probe can name those behind the act. He also refuted narratives on sectarianism in Tharoor’s Malabar tour.
