Thiruvananthapuram: Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala on Tuesday expressed his disappointment over the state government for not inviting opposition leader VD Satheesan to the programs including flagging-off ceremony of Vande Bharat Express in Thiruvananthapuram.

Chennithala stated that it was not the right decision from the government not to invite VD Satheesan to the ceremony or other events hosting the Prime Minister in Kerala.

He pointed out that during his term as opposition leader, he was invited to attend the inauguration of Kochi Metro. He added that opposition leaders in the past were always invited to events hosting Prime Ministers.
