Writer Lakshmi Rajeev sells rare ring, gives its price to deceased couple's sons in Neyyattinkara


Lakshmi sold a ring that has a very small figure of Lord Ananthapadmanabhan which can be seen only through a microscope. The ring named ‘Ananthavijayam’ was made by Poojapura native Ganesh Subrahmaniam.

Neyyattinkara: Writer Lakshmi Rajeev sold her rare and expensive ring and handed over the amount to children of the couple who died amid suicide bid here. She gave Rs 5 lakh which she collected by selling the ring to Rahul and Ranjith, sons of deceased couple Rajan and Ambili. Minister Kadakampally Surendran also was with her.

The ring named ‘Ananthavijayam’ was made by Poojapura native Ganesh Subrahmaniam. Ganesh had earlier made the same type of ring for actor Mohanlal and Uthradam Thirunal Marthanda Varma.

Lakshmi Rajeev had announced through social media that the amount collected by selling the ring will be given to Rahul and Ranjith. On seeing this post, Kozhikode native Prabha Gopalan bought the ring from Lakshmi Rajeev. She visited the boys at their house and handed over the amount. Sculptor Ganesh Subrahmaniam also was present at the event.
