Thiruvananthapuram: Former Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson has rejected rumours of entering the fray as a UDF candidate from Vattiyoorkavu for the upcoming Assembly elections.

“Full-time politics is not even in my distant future. I always voice my opinion. Politics is an area for such person,” he said.

Youngsters, who are well-versed with modern technologies, should come to the mainstream politics as the country is changing in digital era. We should make way and create opportunities for them, he said.

“I was active in college politics. My friends and well-wishers ask me to enter politics. But I believe the time has long gone. Being a politician won’t suit me as my opinions are subject-oriented,” he told Mathrubhumi News.

There have been rumour that Jiji Thomson will contest in Vattiyoorkavu.
