Won't cancel transfer of officials, asserts KSEB chairman

Talking to Mathrubhumi News, the KSEB chairman added that the board has taken a sympathetic approach towards the confession of the officials.

Thiruvananthapuram: KSEB chairman B Ashok declared that the board won’t compromise its stance on the transfer of the suspended officials. He pointed out that KSEB took the decision to transfer the officials after studying the matter.

Talking to Mathrubhumi News, the KSEB chairman added that the board has taken a sympathetic approach towards the confession of the officials.

“KSEB has transferred the officials in executive engineer and assistant executive engineer cadres. Like previous years, the officials were transferred to the first vacancy reported outside the district where they are currently working. That means, the first suspended official got transferred to the nearest district. He is appointed to the post of divisional executive engineer. The second official also got an appointment in the arising post reported from the nearest district. The official who got suspended in Thiruvananthapuram is appointed in the nearest generation circle. So, no one can allege that KSEB aimed to trouble the officials with the transfer order. The board has taken action to protect the interests of the officials. So, no amendment will be made in the transfer order,” explained B Ashok.

Condemning the protests in KSEB, he added that no one can earn anything by threatening or levelling false allegations.

“Neither KSEB nor the chairman is going to change the stance as being afraid of the protests. The board has already served justice to the suspended officials,” he added.

KSEB Officers Association has been observing a strike demanding to cancel the transfer of the suspended officials. But the KSEB chairman asserted that he won’t accept this demand at any cost.
