Nedumangad: A woman killed herself, hours after her husband suicided, in her house near Uzhamalakkal in Thiruvananthapuram. The deceased have been identified as Rajesh (38) and Aparna(26), both hailing from Paruthikuzhi.
It is learned that the couple had disputes in the last few days. Later, Aparna moved to her parent's house with the children. On Saturday evening, Rajesh came to her house and requested her to return. After she refused, Rajesh returned and hung in the room himself.
Upon hearing the news, Aparna consumed acid. She was rushed to Nedumangad hospital and later to Thiruvananthapuram medical college for treatment. But she succumbed.
Valiyamala police have filed a case and initiated an investigation.
