Woman’s funeral delayed for 3 days as in-laws firm not to let children see body

Thrissur: In a bizarre yet tragic incident, the funeral of a woman is being delayed as her in-laws are firm not to allow her children to see the body. The incident took place in Thrissur.

The deceased has been identified as Asha, a native of Pavaratty in Thrissur. Reportedly, Asha, mother-of-two, had committed suicide on Tuesday by consuming poison.

Following which, Asha’s in-laws allegedly refused to let her kids see their mother’s body. As a result, the funeral has been delayed for three days now.

“I called Asha’s husband and asked him to bring the kids here. However, he was not at all ready to do so,” said the victim’s father.
