Kochi: In a bizarre incident, a woman died after accidentally running into the glass door of a bank in Perumbavoor.
The deceased was identified as Cheranallur native Beena (45).
The incident happened at the Perumbavoor branch Bank of Baroda on Monday afternoon. After finishing her transaction at the bank, Beena went outside the building. But then she came back to collect the keys she had forgotten inside the bank.
She then tried to come out of the bank quickly. Beena ran into the glass door with a lot of force and it broke. One of the glass pieces reportedly pierced into her abdomen. Beena was rushed to a nearby hospital but her life could not be saved.
