Kollam: A woman and her one-year-old child from Paravur here were found dead near the railway track. They were hit by a train. It is suspected that the woman jumped in front of the train with the child to suicide.
The deceased are Ozhukkupara native Sreelakshmi and her child Sooraj.
The incident happened on Sunday afternoon at around 4.30. The loco pilot of the Netravati Express informed the police about it.
Police responded to the scene and transported the remains to the medical college hospital. They have initiated a probe.
