Woman in COVID-19 isolation dies in Alappuzha

Alappuzha: A woman, who was under COVID-19 isolation here, died on Monday. Pavukkara native Saleela Thomas (60) died here.

She had returned from Bengaluru on June 5 and had been remaining in home quarantine.

She developed chest pain and breathing difficulty in the morning and was taken to Parumala hospital. However, she died midway.

Her samples have been sent for testing. The body will be handed over to family only after the test results are out.

For now, the body is kept at Alappuzha Government General Hospital.
