Melattur: Police arrested three members of a quotation gang for attacking a woman at her residence in Keezhattur, Malappuram, on Friday night.

Kaja Hussain (39), hailing from Tamil Nadu, Mehboob (58), a Mullankurichi native and Abdul Nassar (32) from Pandalam, were arrested by the police for attacking Nafeesa (48), residing at Keezhattur. The accused vandalised the property and assaulted her.

The police said that Nafeesa had sought the help of the same gang to set her son's bike on fire earlier. However, the accused were convicted and spent time in prison in the case.

According to police, the gang attacked her after she failed to pay them the money. After being released from jail, the accused went straight to Nafeesa's residence and got into a verbal dispute, which evolved into a physical attack, according to police.
