Wayanad: Police arrested six persons after a woman lodged complaint alleging she was gangraped in Vythiri. The victim is a Tamil Nadu native.
The complainant informed that she was sexually assaulted at a resort and homestay here. According to the complaint, the woman was deceived and brought to Wayand in the name of offering a job.
The accused include two women who facilitated the crime. The accused are Perambra native Mujeeb, Vadakara native Shahjahan, Tirupur native Saranya, Parassala native Bhadra, Mepadi native Shanavas and Anasul Jamal from Vythiri.
The accused were nabbed by a team under Kalpetta DySP Jacob. They were produced in the court and later remanded.
