Idukki: A woman died on Tuesday after three members of a family attempted to commit suicide in Thodupuzha’s Chittoor. The deceased is Jessy while her husband Antony and daughter Silna are in critical condition and undergoing treatment in the ICU.
The three of them attempted to consume poison on Monday. They were taken to a private hospital in Thodupuzha. Jessy’s death was confirmed at around 3 pm on Tuesday. Failure of internal organs was the cause of her death, according to reports.
Antony runs a bakery in Thodupuzha. According to police, he had a debt of about Rs 10 lakh. Police have started an investigation into the matter.
